ABOUT

Alex Heigl is a writer & musician living in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Formerly a full-time pop culture writer in Brooklyn, Alex’s writing can be seen on PEOPLE.com, Entertainment Weekly and Bandcamp, with the odd smattering of other freelance gigs. Currently working as the Editorial Content Manager of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, he is also the co- host, writer, and researcher of the Too Much Information podcast from iHeart.

Alex is a bassist and guitarist, who played bass in a wide variety of bands while in Brooklyn and fronted his own band, The World's Greatest Detective, for which he sang, played rhythm guitar, and wrote all the music and lyrics. He is currently releasing instrumental guitar music under his own name.

Alex lives with his wife in the Bay Area and enjoys all the usual non-musical Bay Area activates like hiking, Giants games, and the like.
